Now they're just a cold hearted machine. Would be an interesting partnership. It'd be good for both parties. It'd give Square a better publishing arm and Eidos a much needed injection of cash.
Its not the first time the two companies have worked together, Final Fantasy VII and VIII were published by eidos on the PC over here. yeah right  Lets hope they don't try to influence EIDOS too much and the deal just gives EIDOS some money... If they get Eidos I hope they revive the Ledegacy of Kain series. This was what I was hoping for considering that Eidos put itself on the market. Perhaps it could lead to FF titles released sooner in the Western market and also sooner for the PC platform. Tomb Raider RPG coming up then?
An action RPG where you jump around a la Tomb Raider but all the combat was turn-based stat stuff? Can't decide whether that would be good or bad.
I somehow managed to miss this story and just sent the BBC news link as a tip. Bugger. 32p per share isn't that high though. +1
@ Dajmin. Yeah they didnt bother to give me credit about the information on the MMOs in Australia being banned. They posted it about 5 minutes after I did on Gamesradar. bit random  NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
I hate square so very much. Some of my favorite franchises like Deus Ex, Thief, and Hitman.... gone, all gone. Why? Yep, and both were horrible, bug ridden, almost unplayable, cheap sounded port nightmares that rarely worked well if at all. The one thing that made the PC version of 7 stand out was the bugfixed script- but if they'd have spent that time on the game it'd have been better. |
