Friday 30-Jan-2009 3:25 PM Air hockey and puzzle games drop in time for the weekend Nintendo's pre-weekend WiiWare update features two games this week, Family Glide Hockey and Pop Them, Drop Them Samegame.
The air hockey and puzzle game will cost you 500 Wii Points (£3.50) a pop.
Here are the official descriptions of what your money will get you.
Family Glide Hockey: Get all the thrills of the popular table sport from the comfort of your living room. Bash the puck using the Wii Remote and pull off trick shots with ease. You can hone and master your air hockey skills in a gymnasium, a forest park, a beach, an amusement park, and even in the freezing Arctic!
The game also features fun mini-games, such as "Glide Hockey Brawl!", "Glide Hockey Drill!", or "Glide Hockey Tracer!" and supports up to four players - so the whole family can join in!
Pop Them, Drop Them Samegame: Pop Them, Drop Them Samegame is a simple yet engrossing puzzle game where you clear matching blocks in sets of two or more. Score high by clearing out more blocks at once. If you manage to clear the entire grid, you can keep on playing with a whole new layout. Getting rid of all those blocks is the key to raking in the points!
Customise your playing experience by choosing different block styles, background graphics and music. Adjust the difficulty in a one-player game by trying different grid sizes and numbers of colours. Play it your way!
You and up to three of your friends can play against each other in any of the three multiplayer modes. "Fame Game", the most straightforward choice, is similar to the one-player version. "Shame Game" turns the tables by forcing you to go for the lowest score. Finally, in "Blame Game", it's a free-for-all as everyone vies for blocks on one big grid.
