What would be cool is if my band could play on that little stage. Maybe I should send Sony a message... That's a BRILLIANT idea. I doubt it'd be too hard to enable broadcasting of MP3s, so it certainly sounds feasible. Sony would get serious kudos points if they did something like this. you can already broadcast mp3s from what ive heard. load of shite anyway. Could be a good space for hosting virtual gigs and the like. with obviously virtual gig shirts to buy.
Wonder if Sony i'll make you pay for the coffee your avatar drinks.
then again they could use it as a sort of ordering hub for real take aways like dominoes and pizza hut.
Home kind of somes up gaming at the moment. There's a lot of potential floating about. hopefully it'll all get realised sooner rather than later. i do agree theres LOADS of potential for home. unlimited nearly. i think hardly any of it will be implemented. I meant live, not miming to a backing track. But it shouldn't be that hard to send a stereo PA source to the server and have that publicly broadcast in the same way the video adverts are. That, also, is a great idea - and again, shouldn't be too hard as they both current allow web based ordering.
Does HOME have trophies? been done on winamp shoutcast for YEARS!
i also use winamp orb for streaming tunes off my pc (on ps3) winamp rules. some good ideas mentioned above and it shows how much potential home has, but at the moment its pure trash. Seconded. Maybe its because Im getting old, but I simply dont understand this Home idea at all.
Talking to virtual people, buying pretend clothes and listening to amatuer virtual music is just never gonna catch on in the mainstream in my opinion. There will be a community, but (No offence to anyone) I just think it will pretty much be a nerdy community and it wont attract any new customers to the system.
Its wierd, its like the exact opposite to what sony has done in the past. They marketed the Ps as a cool machine that everyone could play, the PS2 had a social aspect with all its party games, but they've totally flipped it around with HOME. To me it just comes across as nerdy and unsociable. I dont count talking to virtual versions of people as socialising.
And the PS3 is currently my favourite console! I just dont get HOME at all! Every time I load up Home I get the urge to shoot everyone. They should add guns. Lots of guns. :D Dead Rising 2: Home Edition Postal 3: postal dude goes Home! Ooh a wooden floor lifestlye room that has some white lifestyle chairs for all the lifestyle avatars to hang out in and do... what?
When you said it was a cafe, I thought it would look like a nice Starbucks or maybe even have a Central Perk vibe to it. Maybe have a little WiFi thing so you could browse websites on it, have waitresses bringing little fake coffees over to you, ordering a pizza and whatever the hell else you do in a cafe.
Instead it looks like a holiday home in a brochure that the previous tenants have removed all the furnishings from and left you a load of white lifestyle chairs they bought in surplus that they don't really want. This has been in the Japanese home from day 1! It really makes me sick the way Sony (and MS) shaft us Europeans everytime. The Japs also have a Siren room, Everybodys golf room and a Bandai arcade room too, while the Yanks have a Farscape area and Uncharted bar. I know its all pretty pointless, but we pay more for the PS3 then anyone else yet get the least. Everyone complains about Home but every time I go into it's fecking packed out! I'm surprised CVG failed to mention the Farcry 2 area in it. They don't need to with you around. That doesn't even make sense but sure that's just you all over. »
Well I'm shocked at your little outburst at not understanding the fact that I meant that you have just announced the new FC2 Home area so CVG do not need to. Anyway confusing you has never been an arduous task has it. not to you anyway.. True but then you hardly ever read anyones posts properly. |
