Fallout 3 Bobblehead Guide

Shares

If you've been playing Fallout 3, you've probably found a few Bobbleheads tucked away on dusty shelves and desks. You'll need to collect at least ten to unlock the "Yes, I Play with Dolls" achievement and all twenty for the "Vault-Tec C.E.O." achievement. But even if you don't give a hoot about your gamer score, you'll still need to collect every one of these wobbly figurines to create the ultimate, kickass, Wasteland survivor. That's because there are seven Bobbleheads that boost your core S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats, and thirteen that give a healthy bonus to your skills. This means you'll be able to spread out your points more every time you level-up, allowing you to max out even more skills.

Above: This is what your glorious collection will look like after following the directions in this most awesome guide

Having trouble finding any of these stat-boosting collectibles? Read on for videos, maps, and detailed directions that explain how to find all twenty Bobbleheads. Although we've done our best to avoid any major spoilers, explaining how to find each one may reveal a few details that you may not want to see. So scroll on with care, fellow Wastelanders.

You’ll find the Strength Bobblehead in Lucas Simm’s home in Megaton. It’s the very first shack on your immediate right when you enter the city. It'll be locked, so you'll either have to pick the lock, steal the key from Lucas, kill Lucas and take the key, or get Mr. Burke to kill Lucas by reporting him. Enter the house, climb up the stairs and enter Lucas Simm’s bedroom on your left. Check the top of his desk for a boost to your Strength.

WARNING: If you’re planning to take the evil route by blowing up the city of Megaton, make sure you grab the Strength Bobblehead first! If you don’t, it’ll be blown to smithereens along with the rest of the city.

Above: Once you enter Megaton, you’ll see Lucas Simm’s house to your right

The Republic of Dave is in the far northeast corner of the world map. Enter the camp and head into the Museum of Dave on your left. You'll find the Bobblehead on the shelf to your right.

Head northwest from Paradise Falls to reach Deathclaw Sanctuary. Head down the sloping path. You’ll find the Endurance Bobblehead near the brahmin corpse.

Above: As you may have guessed, there are lots of nasty Deathclaws waiting inside of Deathclaw Sanctuary.

Above: Keep up the good work. Your character is getting stronger with each Bobblehead that you find

You'll find Vault 108 on the eastern edge of the world map. Head south from the Republic of Dave to reach it. Once you enter the vault, head to your left when you see the big blood stain, and pass the power generators. Head down the stairs into the lab area and you'll find the Charisma Bobblehead on a desk.

Above: Nothing says pizzazz like a winning smile

Rivet City sits on the very southeast corner of the map, west of the Jefferson Memorial. You’ll find the Intelligence Bobblehead on a desk inside the Science Lab.

Head southwest from the Republic of Dave to reach the Greener Pastures Disposal Site. You’ll be exposed to lots of radiation while roaming through this area, so be sure pop some Rad-X pills beforehand.

Above: Greener Pastures has very high radiation levels

Above: You’ll find the Agility Bobblehead on a desk in the facility’s office

The Arlington House is in the middle of the Arlington Cemetery. But to get there, you'll need to navigate the underground tunnel system. First, head into Marigold Station. Once you reach the first large room, jump down to the first floor on your left and take the left tunnel. Follow the Blue Line tracks and head through the door on your left when you reach the giant grates to exit at Falls Church. Head east till you reach the Falls Church/Arlington Metro Station. Once you reach the first large room, cut straight across the rubble and pass the Nuka-Cola machine.  Head east to discover Mama Dolce's. Then head north to enter the cemetary. The Arlington House lies between North Arlington and South Arlington. Head to the basement to find the Luck Bobblehead.

Above: You'll want to have at least six points in Luck for the Mysterious Stranger perk. It's the only way to get a Humphrey Bogart lookalike to randomly finish off your enemy when using V.A.T.S.

Two years later, and people are still getting help from this guide. This is one of, if not the best, online guides I've found. Most are text documents that are not broken down in specific areas, like Bobbleheads. I'm off to the Rep. of Dave.

might be worth mentioning that if you get the broken steel expansion pack at level 30 it gives you the option to take a perk called Nearly Perfect, which makes all your specials 9. Then if you get the special bobble heads afterwards it can raise them all up to 10!

If Lucas Simms is dead, then you just have to loot his body to find the key. If he's still alive, you just have to go into his house during the day. It's only locked at night.

note about the strength bobblehead u do not need to kill lucas simms, he does not need to die, and you do not need to pick his lock. go to the house at the evening while lucas is at home at the door will be unlocked for you... :D
  • MrKwantos - December 10, 2008 4:02 p.m.

I see there is some confusement anout the strength and Medicine Bobbleheads. The strength Bobblehead can you find in Lucas Sims house To get in: - Pick the lock - Pickpocket the key from Lucas Simms - Kill Lucas Simms for the key - Accept the quest to blow up Megaton and rat out the guy in the Saloon to Lucas Simms. Then follow Lucas Simms to the Saloon and watch the guy who wants you to blow up Megaton kill Lucas Simms. - Disarm the bomb. Now the door is unlocked from time to time. If you decide to blow up Megaton, MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE BOBBLEHEAD BEFORE YOU DO IT! Once Megaton is gone, so is your bobblehead, Now about the Medicine Bobblehead. You can get it: - When you turn 16, Your father will look if you are able to take tho goat test, on your fathers desk stands the Bobblehead. - During the quest ESCAPE! - In the quest where you return to Vault 101. You can get this quest, by walking around the area around Vault 101. Eventually, you ll revieve a signal from Amata, asking for your help. I am not exactly sure when this signal starts to trsnamit. During the mission where i had to retrieve the G.E.C.K.

can someone tell me more information about the quest to go back to vault 101 i am interested in doing this quest so where do i go to do this quest
  • sanjoken - November 19, 2008 5:07 a.m.

when the bomb goes off, you destroy Megaton and everything in it, that includes the bobblehead. when you leave the vault, there is another quest that you get that involves you going back to the vault. for me it was after the part involving the first time i went to the jefferson memorial, you'll pick up a radio signal telling you to go back
  • blair4098 - November 18, 2008 9:11 p.m.

excuse me but i have left vault 101 without the medicine bobblehead, so do you know what quests let you back in vault 101 so i can get in?
  • ministryofme169 - November 15, 2008 9:02 a.m.
