Follow the soul on its journey from earthly life to eternity in Egyptian antiquities from the Louvre: journey to the Afterlife. On show for the first time in Australia, the collection of more than two hundred objects from the Musée du Louvre, Paris reveals the mysteries of Egyptian art and culture in all its beauty.

In the new entrance-level Indian Gallery recent acquisitions join old favourites. In juxtaposing works of different media – stone, wood, paper, metal and cloth – visitors are introduced to the spectacular art of South Asia through fine examples of key images from the major strands of Indian culture and religion.

The Canberra Boys Choir celebrates its 25th anniversary with a performance of songs to celebrate the Children’s Week theme of A Caring World Shares. Sculpture Garden.

Family tours and activities
11.30am - 12.15pm Joining a 45 minute interactive family tour with voluntary guides or explore the Sculpture Garden as a family using the Sculpture Garden Children’s Trail activity booklet.

11.45am -1pm Respond to the Sculpture Garden in spring with drawing and clay. Art-making activities will take place in the Sculpture Garden with Gallery educators and voluntary guides.
