Dr Katerina Teaiwa, Pacific Studies Convenor, ANU, discusses re-imagining history in visual images. Using rich photographic and film records kept by the British Phosphate Commission, she integrates a transformed view of history with the art and culture of the Pacific island of Banaba in Kiribati and Rabi in Fiji.

In a powerful new co-production by Bell Shakespeare and Queensland Theatre Company, Michael Gow directs John Bell in the title role of Anatomy Titus Fall Of Rome: A Shakespeare Commentary, a reworking of Shakespeare’s bloodiest play Titus Andronicus, by German playwright and director Heiner Müller. A searingly provocative examination of the nature of violence, this sharply political work speaks as much of our world today as of Ancient Rome.
