  Gallery Shop annual clearance sale
The Gallery’s annual clearance sale starts Saturday 4 June 10am–5pm, with 30% to 50% or more off exclusive gift items and exhibition catalogues such as Seeing the centre: the art of Albert Namatjira; Sari to sarong; and The Edwardians – all marked down to $20.   Dore Ashton and the New York School
On Saturday 4 June at 2pm in the James O Fairfax, Theatre New York-based critic/curator Dore Ashton will relate her experiences with New York School artists such as Mark Rothko and Philip Guston, with reference to the exhibition David Rankin works 1967–2004.   Lewis Morley tribute
On Saturday 18 June from 11am to 6pm in the James O Fairfax Theatre, past and present curators of photography will present short talks about works in the Gallery’s collection, with a focus on Lewis Morley and Margaret Michaelis, celebrating 25 years of photography at the Gallery.   Stage fright: the art of theatre opens
Stage fright opens in the Children’s Gallery on 11 June, showcasing works on paper and costumes from the Australian Theatre Arts collection. The exhibition will lead young children and their families on a voyage of discovery through mythology, fairytales, visionary worlds and fantasy characters with designs and costumes destined for the ballet, opera and theatre stage.   Grace Cossington Smith closes
The highly popular Cossington Smith exhibition closes on 13 June. This retrospective exhibition traces Cossington Smith’s artistic development through 135 paintings and drawings as well as through her many sketchbooks, to reveal an artist of considerable depth, insight and spirituality.
