This position is in the Photographic Services Section which is part of the Collection Services Program.

The occupant of this position reports to the Manager of Photographic Services and is responsible for processing, printing and quality control of the Section's in house facilities. This position is also responsible for 35mm slide production, digital scanning and printing responsibilities as part of it's function.

Textile Conservation Assistant
NGA Level 2/3 – Part time
Position Number 5020 | $38,800 to $47,673 pa (pro rata)

The National Gallery of Australia is seeking applications from suitably qualified people for the position of Textile Conservation Assistant in the Textile Section of the Conservation Department.

The position assists the Textile Conservation staff in their role of providing access and care to the National Gallery's textile collection.

Successful applicants for the position will be required to demonstrate their ability to undertake a wide variety of sewing tasks, manufacturing of display forms, packing and storage supports and the ability to work as a positive team member.

Knowledge of preventative conservation and basic conservation principles is desired.
