Posted:

KESQ, the Desert's News Leader, is also the leader in Emmy nominations.  KESQ received five Emmy nominations from the Pacific Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, more than any other television station in the Coachella Valley!

The Academy nominated Producer Anne Marie Petersen for Outstanding Evening Newscast and Producer Kari Suitt for Outstanding Morning Newscast.  KESQ also won nominations for Outstanding News Special and Outstanding Crime Report.  KESQ News Photographer Serkan Stage won a nomination for editing.

KESQ News Director Bob Smith says, "The quality of our newscasts reflect the quality of our people.  Congratulations to all of our nominees."

The winners will be announced in June.
