Before you start shopping, you need to register yourself with Indiatimes that shall allow us to communicate with you regarding your transactions. Three of our sections i.e. Shopping Cart, Wish List and My Account are password protected.
When you click on any of these links you will reach a sign in page. A new user can register here or members can login to their account directly. Or else, to reach there directly, click on “Register/Sign in “on the top of the Home page to register online with us. Once you are registered with Indiatimes then the same username and the password can be used to login to our channels such as Shopping, Auctions, Contests, Dating, Email etc.
:: Placing an order
Placing an order with Indiatimes Shopping is quick and simple.
Step 1 : Login using your Indiatimes login id and password.
Step 2 : Use the drop-down menu to restrict your search to a particular category.
Step 3 : As you browse through the store, you can place the items that you wish to purchase instantly in your Shopping Cart. Click “Buy now” on the product.
Step 4 : It would open the product details page. Review the details of the product and click on the link 'Add to Cart'. If you wish to go back to the main page click x
Step 5: You can view your shopping cart through the 'View Cart' section.
Step 6 : Review and Submit your order
Take a moment to review all of the items you've placed in your Shopping Cart. If you decide that you don't want to purchase a particular item right away, click the "Move to Wish list “to save for later. The item will move from your current Shopping Cart to Wish List.
Step 7 : You can update your shopping cart i.e. change the quantity of the items you wish to buy in your shopping cart.
Step 8 : Shipping Address
You can either enter the shipping details under “Enter New Shipping address “or choose from the existing addresses stored in the “Address book” and click on “Ship to this address “.
Note: Please ensure to fill all the fields where “* “sign appears as the system will not proceed further otherwise
Step 9 : Payment Information Page
(a)Gift & Preferred Date exchange only for express delivery
On top of the page this link is available to enter the preferred date for delivery of the product.
(b) Net Carrots redemption
You can redeem net carrots that you have earned while shopping with Indiatimes. Minimum carrots required to redeem is 50. Please check your net carrot balance which appears next to the net carrot text box. The amount entered will be reduced from the billed amount.
(c) Gift Certificate redemption
Indiatimes Gift certificate is a prepaid mode of payment which can be utilized only our website.
1: Single Gift certificate Enter the Gift certificate number as it is on the Gift Certificate textbox. The Gift certificate value will get reduced from the total billed amount.
2 : Multiple Gift certificate. For multiple gift certificates click on “Click here “option just above the Gift Certificate text box. On the Merge Gift certificate option enter the gift certificate numbers separated by comma. Click on “Merge“ button, the system shall generate a new Gift certificate number. Enter this number as it is on the Gift certificate Text box on the shopping payment page

Pay Options
Prepaid cards
Certain pre paid card options are available for making payments for the shopping online. Such as ITZ cash card and Done card. You can also purchase ITZ cash card from our website for buying convenience. ITZ Cash is innovative safe and secured pre paid card launched by Intrex India.
Done card has similar uses like cash for applications, which currently do not accept cash for purchases on the net and for select services where this is the most viable option instead of Cash.
Credit cards
You can make payments for your purchases using credit card as well. Indiatimes Shopping uses the latest encryption technology and other methods to protect your credit card information. You can be assured that Indiatimes Shopping offers you the highest standards of security currently available on the Net so as to ensure that your shopping experience is private, safe and secure.
We accept Master /Visa card, American Express, Citibank credit cards and ICICI credit cards, we also have the option for making payments in EMI [Easy Monthly Installment with 6 month and 3 month option] with no interest charges.
EMI option is available on Citibank and ICICI credit cards.
Net banking
This pay mode enables you to transfer funds online from your bank account for your purchases. We do entertain net banking cards of HFDC bank, ICICI, CITIBANK etc .
Mobile payments
lets you put your credit card in your mobile phone and use it in a safe, smart and simple manner for over-the-counter and Internet purchases, and person to person payments. You can make mobile payments using mCheck and Paymate [For Citibank and Corporation bank] options.
Cash on delivery
With this pay option you can pay for an order at the time of delivery.
Cash before delivery
For certain pre order products we offer Cash before delivery option. On payment you shall receive the receipt from our end and the once the product is available we will service the order to your door step.
Cheque & demand draft
(a)Cheque/Cheque DD pickup option
We do have cheque/Demand Draft pickup assistance in limited cities. In case your area falls under these cities the system would automatically identify the same and would prompt this option other wise it shall prompt Cheque option only. The cheque is picked up by our courier partners and deposited locally.
(b)Cheque option
For cities which do not fall under the pickup locations the cheque has to be sent to our accounts office. The address is:

Payment through Gift certificates
You can make payments for your orders through Indiatimes Gift certificate. This is a 15 digit alpha numeric number that needs to be redeemed at the payment information page. The value of the gift certificate is deducted from the total bill amount
The pay options may differ from product to product as per the arrangement with the respective seller of products and services.
Note: At present 6 EMI pay option is only available with the ICICI and Citibank credit card. In case any other bank card is used the same would not be converted to 6 EMI.
Step 10 : Click on “Proceed to pay“.
In case any of the redemption options is used, the page would refresh and would display the net amount payable after redemption.
Click on “Proceed to pay“once again. Except for COD/cheque/cheque DD pickup option, it would display the Payment Gateway.
Step 11: Please enter the card details here.
Step 12: The next page will display your order summary along with the Order number.
Order confirmation e-mail will be sent to you. Please quote this number for all interactions for any post order queries to Customer service.
Details to be entered for orders placed on cheque/Demand Draft pay mode
The cheque has to be issued in the name of “Times Internet Ltd “.On the back of the cheque please quote the order number along with you Name ,Telephone number and Address.
Note: The cheque/Demand Draft should be payable at Delhi
For certain pay modes such as gift certificates, prepaid cards verification is done for secured transactions. This usually takes 2 days.
:: Wish List
In case you wish to buy later, you can add the product to your wish list by clicking “Add to wish List“. To add the product to your shopping cart follows the steps as mentioned below:
(i) Go to My Account section
(ii) Click on Wish list, select the product by clicking on the check box, click on “Add to shopping cart“.
(iii) Click on My Account, click on Shopping Cart and check the product select would be visible in the shopping cart.
This way you can add an item from your wish list to the shopping cart.
To continue shopping, click on the 'Add more products' button which takes you back to the Shopping Homepage or click on “Proceed to checkout” for billing.
You can buy it anytime you please, subject to the availability of the product in future.
:: Check your order status
You can check the status of you order by visiting the “My Account” link. Please follow the steps mentioned as under:
Step 1 : Click on “My Orders“ Link in the My Account section. It shall display the orders you have placed on our shopping channel with current status.
Step 2: Click on the on the Order numbers under the Order Id section to know the details of the order. This displays the order form with the order number and sub order numbers with respective details [The merchant who shall be servicing the order, the payment made against the order, redemption details, billing address, shipping address, payment information etc].
Various States of the order
1. Order under Process: This is the first state of any order.
2. OUP waiting for gateway response: This is the state which indicates that the payment has not been processed by the Gateway. In case you log out at time of making payment on the payment gateway page or the internet connection is lost while processing payment then this state would appear for the order.
3. Payment Received: This confirms that the payment for the order has been accepted.
4. To be verified: When the payment is made through bank cards, pay cards or any of redemption options, the orders are verified for authenticity.
5. Shipped: The order is shipped through our third party Courier partners. The details of the shipment are mentioned on the “Variables Updated” section in the order form.
6. Order cancelled: An Order may be cancelled due to variety of reasons. The reason is mentioned in the “Variables Updated“ column on the order form
7. Request for replacement: This state appears when an order has been sent for replacement to the respective merchant.
8. Reshipped: The order has been reshipped by the merchant the details of the shipment are mentioned in the “Variables Updated “column on the order form.
9. Refunded: The payment for the order has been refunded. The refund is processed usually on the same mode on which the payment is made. However in case of COD [cash of delivery] the refund is processed via cheque mode.
10. Repair: This indicates that the product has been forwarded for Repair to the merchant.
11. Sales return: The products shipped have been returned by the consignee back to the seller.
:: Personal Information
You can modify the personal information (e-mail address, phone numbers and password), shipping information, billing details;
Step 1 : Just log into your account using your login id and Password
Step 2 : Click on Edit My profile in My Account.
Step 3 : Edit the fields that you wish to modify.
Step 4 : Click Save at the bottom of the page.
Step 5 : To change the password click on Change Password
Step 7 : Enter the new password in the New password text box
Step 8 : Enter the password again in the Verify the password text box.
Step 9 : Click on Save button.
Step 10 : Click View My Profile to check the changes
The password must have at least 8 characters and a maximum of 20. It is also case-sensitive
If you have forgotten your password then click on Shopping Cart or Wish List or My Account and you will reach the Login page where there is a link to Forgot Your Password? You must remember your User Name and on entering that, you will be taken to your hint question. On answering the Hint Question in exactly the same words as you had entered in the Registration Page you can retrieve your password.
:: Track your shipped orders
At present tracking is available only for orders serviced through Speedpost, Gati Courier, TNT courier, Blue dart Courier, First flight courier
To track the shipped orders please follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1 : Click on the My orders section in My account
Step 2: Check the current status of the order. You can track only shipped orders.
Step 3 : Click on the order number under Order Id
Step 4 : Go to the Order Status History. Copy the AWB [Airway Bill Number] number mentioned in the Variables updated section of the sub order you wish to check.
Step 5 : Check the name of the courier company.
Step 7 : Click on the My account link on the top of the page
Step 9: Paste the AWB number on the tracking section of the website and click “Go”.
The page shall display the tracking details of the order.

Product Pick-Up Procedure
You need to call our Courier Partner and mention Indiatimes Account Code for registering Pick-up request to the courier agent. The courier agent shall give you an estimated time for pickup.
Checklist for product pickup
1. Product should be packed and properly cushioned to prevent transit damages.
2. Mention Seller's Address (delivery address) on the packet.
3. Mention Order/Sub Order no. on the packet.
4. Declare contents inside the box that you are sending to the Seller (Don’t send the complete product if an accessory of it is not working)
Eg.If the Mobile Charger is not working please send the charger only not the mobile phone as well.
5. Mention products cost.
6. Insert a letter mentioning the complaint about the product.
7. Mention Logistic Partner’s Account code
Logistic Partner’s executive will provide you with a AWB number. Please don’t forget to call up our customer support and give the AWB number.Within 12-15 days the product will be repaired or replaced as applicable and will be sent to you.
:: Demonstration of products
For shopping convenience we have displayed products with accurate details .We request our customers to review the details of the products before buying. We do not have products that may be physically viewed.
:: Payment errors
Payment error page is displayed when there is a connection lapse between the payment gateway and the website or the internet connection is interrupted during payment transaction or some required fields are not entered correctly

This usually takes up to 48 hours to resolve.
The amount for an order that has not been placed is reflecting on the bank card statement
In such cases we might require a scanned copy of the bank card statement. Please contact our customer care for assistance
Gift certificate transaction error
In case you are unable to use the gift the certificate, please check the following before reporting the problem to us.
A: Gift certificate expiry date. This would be mentioned on the email that you would have received for this gift certificate
B: Please check whether you have already used this gift certificate for any other purchase on our website.

:: Search a product of a with lowest price or highest price
Enter the name of a product in the search text box
Click on "search"
The page to follow will give you the results along with a choice to sort in ascending or descending order as per the price range.
How can I search for my order number and details?
On placing an order, an order number is generated and is saved in “My Orders” section in “My Account”. This is mentioned on the top right corner of the shopping home page. You can access your account at any time and view the details and status of your order.
Simultaneously, you will be informed about your order status at every stage, through an auto email and SMS.
:: How do I cancel an order?
• Cancellations will only be considered if the request is made within 24 hours of placing an order. If the order is already under process with the vendor, then the request will not be accepted.
• For products listed under special Events & Promotions (Rakhi, Diwali, Valentine etc…) and Express Delivery, cancellations will not be entertained
Cancellations in Perishable items:
For flowers, eatables etc, in case the product has been delivered to your doorstep cancellation shall not be entertained
Cancellation is only permissible in case the quality of the product delivered is not good[Product delivered is stale, incomplete etc]. In such cases report the issue to customer care immediately through our feedback section.
Cancellation of consumer durable items and non durable [Mobile phones, mixer grinder, calculator etc]
In case of receipt of damaged or defective items, please report the same to our customer care center by mentioning the same on our feedback section. The request can only be entertained once the merchant has check and determined the same at his own end. This should be reported within 21 days of receipt of the products. However for books VCDs DVD’s software products, the matter should be reported within 5 days.
:: Product received is not as per shown / expected
Our vendors make every attempt to deliver that what is displayed on the site. If in any situation you feel what is delivered is not as per displayed, then please bring it to the notice of our customer service 24 hours of receiving the product.
:: Guarantee and warranty on the products
Certain products on the site carry a warranty period, which will be mentioned at the product page, and the vendors will adhere to it.
For perishable items such as flowers and chocolates, the request for replacement / refund should be submitted within 2 days of receipt of the items.
For the rest please follow the Replacement Guidelines as mentioned on the replacement policy. The complaint for the products will be entertained only within the warranty period .There is no extra shipping charges for the delivery of replacement items. Queries received outside the time frame as mentioned above, will not be entertained.
Refund is not entertained in the situations below:
1.In case of Express Delivery where the Shipping Address mentioned is found as incorrect.
2. Recipient not available.
3. Product with no defects .
4.Loss of product by the recipient .
:: Order cancelled due to product Out of stock /Change in price.
Our vendors make every attempt to deliver exactly what is featured on the site, however on certain occasions, the product tends to get out of stock or there is a change in price. In such cases the order may be cancelled .
Please note that orders which are not delivered within the estimated time period may be cancelled as per Indiatimes policy .In such cases Indiatimes shall process complete refund of prepaid orders.
