FEEFH’s 1,240 reel microfilm genealogy collection of the Leipzig Films, which can be researched at the LDS FHL. It's estimated to include 2.7 million or more individual names. The Ahnentafels span the entire German Empire of the last several centuries, not just the Leipzig region. This may be a place to start if you do not know the city or village that your ancestors came from.
