Assignment Ecuador, Part I
It was a mission of hope and love. Sixty-two doctors and volunteers, most from Southern California, many from the Valley, recently traveled to Ecuador, donating their time, money and medical expertise to treat hundreds of people who don't have access to medical care or the money to afford it. News Channel 3's Elizabeth Beaubien and Eddie Quezada travelled with them. We have the first in a series of reports on Assignment Ecuador.

Struggling to make ends meet, day after day. Working for pennies a day to feed yourself and your family and some days going hungry. It's hard to imagine a life unlike one in the United States, but, for some, it's a life many people in other parts of the world, like Ecuador, face every day. It's the mission of the International Medcial Alliance, a local organization to change that and give people hope, in the form of medical care.
