Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star in Atari, a biopic about Nolan Bushnell, who created the early videogame system as well as the game Pong. Brian Hecker (Tribeca entry Bart Got a Room) wrote the script with Craig Sherman, and DiCaprio will also produce for Paramount.

Guillermo del Toro was confirmed as the director of The Hobbit, New Line's two-part adaptation of the prequel to J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Del Toro will shoot the movie in New Zealand, working closely with executive producers Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh. New Line will manage production, with Warner Bros. distributing domestically.
UNIVERSAL
Sienna Miller will star alongside Russell Crowe in Nottingham, director Ridley Scott's retelling of the Robin Hood legend from the Sheriff of Nottingham's point of view. Miller will play Maid Marian, who in this version of the tale is involved in a love triangle between Robin Hood and the Sheriff. Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris wrote the screenplay for the Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment project, produced by Brian Grazer.
