On any day the QR network operates 900 train services and moves more than 400 000 tonnes of freight.
As a train driver, you'll need to:
- Be available to work rostered shifts of up to 12 hours which you may work alone or in the company of another crew member
- Hold and Open 'C' Class Drivers Licence, and
- Be highly motivated and provide quality customer service through effective communication and teamwork.

Reduced Cycle Hours employment opportunities now exist for traincrew to join QRNational.
Reduced Cycle Hours is an opportunity for traincrew to work trains during QRNational Intermodal and Regional Freight's peak freight transport seasons. During off seasons RCH allows traincrew to fulfill other interests while still being a permanant QRNational employee.
