Souris Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery

This cemetery opened in late spring of 1958. As the SVMG office refused access to their records, the necessary information was obtained from the following sources:

1. On site inspection of headstones at cemetery, all names and dates recorded.
   
2. Obituaries in the Estevan Mercury newspaper from Jan 1958 to Dec 1991, were viewed on microfilm.
   
3. Obituaries in all Estevan Mercury newspapers for 1992 - 1993 have been checked.
   
4. Funeral cards .
   
5. Community history books checked to obtain further information.
   The following books were used:

NOTE:
Some of the plastic name markers were broken or name and dates missing off them. Also some graves are unmarked. I was able to locate information for some of these. * is marked by these names. Also some people were buried elsewhere, but their name is on headstone along with spouse or in a family plot section. ** is marked beside these names. In some instances burial date is given as date of death not known. I refer to these with bd after the year.
