Is it wrong to use a face scrub?

Is it wrong to use a face scrubing pad on your face? Or should you just use a washcloth?

I have been using a face scrubbing pad on my face, thinking it is getting rid of the dead skin cells, but I started to break out really bad recently, and I didn't know if the pad is making it worse. Am I just breaking open the pimple and moving the bacteria? What do you suggest I use?

Thanks for the answers!

I am 14 if that makes a difference so I know I am going to break out, but I was just wondering if the scrub pad is too harsh on my face. What do you think?

The pad could be holding on to all kinds of bacteria. And not just bacteria that came off of your face. Throw it away immediately.

When I wash my face:
1. I first wash my hands.
2. Then I use my fingers to wash my face with a liquid scrub. Then rinse.
3. Then I use a clean dry towel to pat my face dry.
4. Use a cotton ball to apply astringent. (This cleans of everything
5. Apply a little moisturizer with my fingers.

I thought your answer was really informal. You also understood what I was asking, where I don't think many others did. I also never thought of washing my hands before washing my face, and it makes ALOT of sense. Now, I do that, and hopefully my face will begin to clear up. I threw out the pad too
