Talk ahead of time. 2) Create rituals in each set of families. 3) Find a way for step children to share in family traditions. 4) Make plans that are realistic. 5) Do not compete on gifts. Collaborate. 6) A child should call the other parent if separated on a holiday. 7) Allow child to split holiday with divorced parents. 8) Don't expect everyone to connect. 9) Be respectful, don't force it. 10)Leave peacemaking for other times of the year. |
