States ready to resume executions
Earl Wesley Berry came within 21 minutes of dying at the hands of the state of Mississippi in October, before the Supreme Court issued a last-minute stay. He is scheduled to be executed on Monday, his 49th birthday. A Georgia inmate is scheduled to be executed on Tuesday as states resume capital punishment. full story
