The symposium, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, features University of Minnesota research scientists, as well as plant breeders from the National Arboretum, the University of Connecticut and South Dakota State University discussing plant breeding and survival in cold climates. The event, which includes lunch, tours and a wine and cheese reception, costs $25 for the general public and is free to university students.
