23-May-2008 Clear the air talks start here... Hello Internet! We notice there's a scan from our latest issue (with exclusive shots of Resi 5 and a big Left 4 Dead hands-on, readers!) doing the rounds. Page 16 is our look at the 360's motion controller - gaming's current worst-kept secret.
The big news is our pic of the possible remote design apparently. Unfortunately the handy scanners, for whom we have nothing but love 'n' hugs, forgot to grab the text. As we explain, the controller is Motus' Darwin prototype, built as part of a proposal for both Sony and Microsoft. There's a black PS3 one on the site, too! See it: here.

The plot is thickened by the knowledge that Motus have worked with Microsoft on their golf club mocap technology in the past - making them the proverbial "right men for the job" of building a motion controller for the 360, especially given their existing Darwin prototype. Remember also that Microsoft's project is rumoured to go by the name "Newton" - those too dense to draw parallels should forgo this evening's Halo 3 session and read about great scientists on Wikipedia.
So yes, we're just setting the record straight. Okay? Okay! The controller exists, it's designed for Microsoft by a company who have worked with Microsoft on motion controller before, but it definitely isn't a Microsoft product.
