Show me another »What if i format my emachine computer and i was connected to a link router? will it affect my settings?

Yes and no.
The settings on your computer will of course be effected because you formatted it, so all previous settings are gone.
If you're talking about the settings specific to the router, such as any firewall exceptions, or wireless information (WEP, SSID, etc) -- no, the format will in no way effect settings stored on the router itself.
If it is a wireless router, and you have it set up with security, you will need to re-configure your computer to work with the previous settings.Sign in to vote!
