Often heard diamonds are a girl's best friend. Not any longer, so
says a recent survey conducted by a US channel, Oxygen Network, where every
three out of four women chose a swanky TV over a diamond solitaire necklace, a
high-end cell phone over designer shoes and the little black dress was overtaken
by an iPod.
According to the survey, the technology gender gap has
virtually closed, with the majority of women snapping up new technology and
using it easily.
The results indicate that the girls are becoming
more tech savvy and their interest towards latest gadgets is increasingly going
up.
So, do you think those special `girlie' gifts like fresh
flowers, delicious dark chocolates, fancy fragrances and gem-filled jewelry
getting replaced by sleek and shiny gadgets. Or gadget no gadget, diamonds,
teddy bears, flowers will continue to fancy girls. Have your say.
