Next Fourth Plinth commission

What should be next on the Fourth Plinth?The 'Fourth Plinth' in Trafalgar Square was empty for many years but is now the location for specially commissioned art works. Currently Thomas Schütte's Model for a Hotel 2007 is installed there. This will be followed by a work by one of six shortlisted artists, who have produced models of their proposed works. Café

What better place to enjoy a drink or snack than in London’s most famous public square? The Café on the Square offers a range of freshly-made and locally-sourced food, as well as hot and cold drinks, and is open every day. The café is also available for hire.

Filming

The Square has once again made it into Film London's Top 20 Locations after a bumper period of filming on the square. Some of the high profile shoots have included 28 Weeks Later and the new version of St Trinian’s, released on 21 December 2007. Guidance for film-makers is available on this website.
