Fall 2007 CHI Quarterly Features Life of Ulrik Vilhelm Koren and LCMS Churches in Chicago This issue highlights the life of Norwegian Synod leader Ulrik Vilhelm Koren, who worked in close fellowship with C. F. W. Walther to promote confessional Lutheranism in the United States. The issue also surveys the decline of Missouri Synod congregations in the Chicago area, the city where the synod was founded in 1847.
