Videos that depict the cruelty of factory farms, laboratories, circuses, and fur farms are extremely effective tools for convincing people to lead more compassionate lives. Find out how you can air PETA’s best videos on your local cable-access station for free!
	Give a Speech—or Sponsor a Speaker Giving a speech about vegetarianism—or arranging for a speaker to do so—is an easy way to spread the message of compassion, possibly to hundreds of people. Local schools, civic clubs, and places of worship are great places to host animal rights speeches.

	Advertise! Place PETA’s Pro-Vegan Ads Around Your Town Got some extra cash? Consider placing a pro-vegan ad in your local newspaper or in a magazine. You can even rent a billboard! Tight on dough? You may be able to get advertising space for free!
	Teach a College or Continuing Education ‘VEG 101’ Course Teaching a class about factory farms, vegetarianism, and animal rights is a fun and effective way to speak out for animals.
	Teach a Vegan Cooking Class You know how much fun and how easy (not to mention delicious) it is to cook vegan food. Why not share your knowledge with others? We’ve got the complete how-to manual.
	Create a Guide to Vegetarian Dining in Your Area Help compassionate diners and those who want to learn more about vegetarianism by making a list of the restaurants in your area that offer vegetarian meals, along with their addresses and phone numbers. Print paper copies to distribute and also post the information on a Web site. Then, distribute the guide all around your town—often, the proud owners of restaurants that make the list will allow you to leave copies by their cash register. Be sure to include even those restaurants that are not exclusively vegetarian; if an establishment offers only a few vegetarian choices, then list those items so that diners will know what to order there.
	‘Veganize’ Your School or Work Cafeteria! Work with your school or office cafeteria to ensure that more vegetarian options are available on their menus. This is one of the most effective ways to help stop the abuse of animals on factory farms—every vegetarian meal served is a victory for animals. Providing information about vegetarianism to classmates and coworkers while making sure that they have access to cruelty-free food is a sure-fire way to effectively promote compassion!
