LCMS World Mission is the global Gospel outreach of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod and works to train leaders and plant churches in mission fields overseas. Lutheran World Relief's headquarters is located in Baltimore, Md.
LCMS World Relief and Human Care partnered with Lutheran World Relief and the World Hunger Program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to co-sponsor Stand With Africa a three-year campaign to raise awareness among U.S. Lutherans of the challenges Africans face in the areas of health, food security and peace. The Stand With Africa campaign began in 2001 and concluded in 2004, but LWR projects initiated by Stand With Africa are ongoing.
