Programs and Projects

LCMS World Relief and Human Care supports a variety of development projects, both overseas and in the United States.

Many, many people struggle daily with the physical and emotional effects of poverty, homelessness, neglect or economic crisis.  These effects include inadequate education or vocational preparation, joblessness, hunger and malnutrition, physical and mental illness, addiction and dependency, and lack of opportunity.

LCMS World Relief and Human Care works with partners around the world to enable people to overcome physical and economic challenges.  Development efforts can range from agricultural assistance projects in Ethiopia or Bolivia, to preschool and after-school care for the children of working poor families in Thailand, to resettlement and orientation programs for immigrants and refugees.

Visit the links above to learn more about how we make a world of difference in people's lives through development overseas and at home.
