OSHA Guidelines for Employers to Reduce Motor Vehicle Crashes
Motor vehicle crashes are the number one cause of work-related injuries. In response
to this, OSHA developed Guidelines for Employers to Reduce Motor Vehicle Crashes
available to download
from www.osha.gov. NSC's defensive driver training exceeds those recommended
guidelines and we offer more training options
than anyone else.
Children in the back seat of vehicles reduces fatalities
A new study shows that a dramatic shift in behavior by parents to place
children in a back seat of vehicles, coupled with increased use of child
safety seats and safety belts, resulted in an 18 percent reduction in overall fatalities
among children ages 0-12. Front seat fatalities declined by 46 percent.
Teen Driving a Critical Public Health Issue
The National Safety Council is on a mission to inform parents of teen drivers that
they can beat the odds and keep teen
drivers alive.
National Safety Council's Committee on Alcohol and Other Drugs
The Committee on Alcohol and Other Drugs (CAOD) has been active in making recommendations
for the control of the drinking and driving problem, including legislation, enforcement,
education, chemical testing equipment, training of testing personnel, and other
aspects of alcohol countermeasures programs since 1936.
