Development Manager

Itasca, IL

Requirements:

  • Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in development and/or communications, preferably in a not-for-profit setting.
  • Knowledge of special events fundraising, grant administration, and experience with affiliate organizations. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and with the Internet.
  • The ability to work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, strong people skills, project management skills and the passion to promote NSC’s mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all facets of fundraising associated with Individual Annual Giving. Includes creating marketing campaigns, connecting with and following through with donors, including Board Members. Reaches established fundraising goals.
  • Actively solicits and cultivates relationships with donors and prospects. Maintains database of active and prospective individuals and corporations.
  • Manages all direct mail and marketing functions, including development of print and web materials, for the Development Office.
  • Identifies and develops new avenues and vehicles to increase donations related to annual individual giving.
  • Assists Executive Director in NSC Planned Giving fundraising activities.

Marketing Project Coordinator

Requirements:

  • 4+ years traffic management or marketing department experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong tactical skills and multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to work comfortably in a congenial, team oriented environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of the print and direct mail process

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains detailed, time-sensitive, up-to-date production schedules as required to complete projects on time.
  • Works with each business unit to establish timelines for individual projects and incorporates each program into master schedule which is updated weekly and provided to head of each business unit
  • Negotiate timelines and ensures that all deadlines are maintained through published schedules.
  • Trouble shoots timing issues and manages expectations of key stakeholders in the process.
  • Manage agenda for weekly production meetings as well as scheduling all meetings required for efficient production.
  • Tracks and documents changes to project specifications, obtaining appropriate approvals for variance to plan
  • Records and reports final costs per project, including any explanations for any variances. Close out jobs and maintain organized file system of job jackets with project history
  • Interacts with all departments relevant to schedule to ensure timely delivery and listen to concerns and issues.
  • Generates cost quotes for internal and external vendors. Responsible for tracking timely delivery of pricing and also ensure approval is on time.
  • Files all pricing and tracks total costs against budget for all approved projects.
  • Supports marketing services budgeting process from start to finish. This will involve working with department management on business planning and budget planning and execution

Manager of Statistics

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in epidemiology, statistics, or a related field with course work or experience in multivariate analyses, nonparametric statistics, statistical modeling, survey design and analysis, experimental design, and evaluation design are required; doctorate is desirable.
  • Ability to develop, lead, mentor, and challenge staff. Ability to plan, implement, and supervise scientific aspects of statistical methods, analyses and reports.
  • Must be excellent in oral presentation and writing skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in working with national injury data systems available from various federal agencies, such as BLS, CDC/NCHS, DOT, and from other NGOs, and state departments.
  • Knowledge of and experience in working with SPSS.

  • Experience in an applied research setting with independent responsibility for project design and implementation, report writing and presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitors injury trends and brings significant trends to the attention of the Executive Director of Research and Statistical Services.

  • Tailors and delivers presentations to the various audiences.
  • Provides in-depth analyses to facilitate the Executive office in formulating strategic objectives and crafting key platform issues.
  • Performs original research using appropriate statistical methods.
  • Conducts literature reviews; summarizes and interprets research findings.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs the annual publication of Injury Facts and related products; provides final approval of content.

Information Architect/SEO Specialist

  • Two plus years of applied Information Architect experience. Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Graphic Design or equivalent work experience.

Writing background with good presentation and communication skills. 4-plus year college degree or equivalent work experience. Product Line Manager

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree required Master’s degree a plus. 2+ years experience in business to business product marketing or product management in a technical or training field. Experience in managing revenue and expense budgets. Ability to think creatively and motivate others, plan and organize multiple tasks; excellent written and oral communication skills; detail orientation and quantitative analysis skills; and ability to interpret data. Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading product management efforts to achieve growth and profitability targets; developing and implementing appropriate product strategies to meet customers needs; leading cross-functional teams to successful execution of product and market strategies; as well as leading product management activities related to new product introductions, product line extensions to capture unmet needs, product redesign to achieve improved performance, differentiated service programs, and cost reduction programs. This manager will promote new products, redesigned products, and product line extensions internally and externally through data sheets, selling sheets, training collateral, and other sales tools, and communication of product changes. Develop and maintain a competitive matrix of top competitors for products within product line. Develop and then follow a new product launch marketing plan and tracking system, ensuring that Customer Service, Chapters, and Divisions are included in all new product launches. Routinely assess effectiveness of marketing efforts, and recommend and implement strategy changes to adapt to market and changes in trends. Actively work to obtain buy-in from assigned Business Unit(s) for new product development and product marketing process.
