What type of gear oil do you use in transfer case?

    Check the manual. There is a huge differnce depending on type. Some use heavy gear oil and some use lightweight oil like transmission oil or engine oil. make sure you know what is right!

    Check the owner's manual. It is different for all cars and depends on 2 or 4-wheel drive, and front vs. rear-wheel drive.

    I recommend http://www.mobiloil.com/ synthetic oil of the proper weight specified in your owner's manual.

    My Dodge and Chevy both use auto trans fluid.

    use go 80w90 same as in the transmission and rear.. ok
