About Research and Statistical Services

The National Safety Council Research & Statistical Services Group provides an overview of the nation's unintentional-injury experience and trends. It does this by gathering injury statistics from many sources and assembling them into a comprehensive picture. The department professionals also perform detailed analyses of various injury data sets to aid in the identification of problems, selection of countermeasures, and the evaluation of program effectiveness.
