Occupational Excellence Achievement Award
Recognizes participants that have reported injuries and illnesses that involved
days away from work, equal to or less than 50% of the BLS rate for their 6-digit
NAICS Code, and have had no fatalities during a calendar year, January 1 through

Industry Leader Award*
Recognizes the top participants (companies, units and/or facilities) in the NSC
Occupational Excellence Achievement Award program. All companies, units and/or facilities
that have met the criteria and qualified for the Occupational Excellence Achievement

Recognizes companies, units and/or facilities that have completed a period of at
least twelve consecutive months without incurring an occupational injury or illness

Safety Leadership Award
Recognizes companies, units and/or facilities that have achieved five consecutive
"Perfect Record" years (operating for at least 60 consecutive months without incurring
an occupational injury or illness resulting in days away from work or death). Must

Recognition of Significant Improvement Award
Acknowledges NSC member companies, units and/or facilities that demonstrate a minimum
of 20% reduction in injuries and illnesses that involved days away from work and
maintenance or reduction in number of fatalities (current reporting year versus
previous year, January 1 through December 31). Must apply for award.

Certificate of Merit Award
Provides recognition of outstanding safety practices to companies, units and/or
facilities achieving self-reported noteworthy accomplishment. Participants must

Million Work Hours Award
Recognizes companies, units and/or facilities that have accomplished 1,000,000,
2,000,000, 3,000,000 or any other million increment of consecutive man-hours without
incurring an occupational injury or illness that resulted in days away from work
or death. Data must be submitted within 60 days from the date the total hours were
reached, not limited to a calendar year. Must apply for award.

Milestone Award
Recognizes companies, units and/or facilities that have completed a period of at
least 30 days without incurring an occupational injury or illness that resulted

Lift Truck Operator Award
Provides recognition for outstanding safety practices to full or part time individuals
or companies, units and/or facilities that have completed a minimum of 480 consecutive
hours without incurring an occupational reportable accident and/or injury while
operating a lift truck. Eligibility is available to individuals, companies, or both.

Fleet Contest Division Leader Award
Provides recognition to fleets with the lowest rate of preventable accidents per
1,000,000 miles driven within their division, category and group during a full calendar
year (January 1 through December 31). This is a competitive award, therefore there
is a submission deadline annually. Must apply for award.

Provides recognition to fleets that complete a period of at least 12 consecutive
months without a preventable accident. Custom awards may be purchased by qualified

Million and Two Million Mile Achievement Plaques
Million Mile plaques recognize 1,000,000 miles or 25,000 hours driven without incident.
Two Million Mile plaques recognize 2,000,000 miles or 50,000 hours driven without
incident. 6-3/4" x 9-3/4" solid walnut plaque bearing the Million Mile Club world
emblem and an engraved nameplate. These plaques can be ordered throughout the year,
