TMI... But I had a C-Section 5 1/2 months ago...?

So I had my daughter by C-Section 5 1/2 months ago, and I have had 2 sugeries before (same place, same scar tissue!) But I noticed yesterday that when i got outta the shower, that it looked infected! and this morning, when i got outta the shower again, it looked worse. (its real red, and ozzing(*sp*) some white stuff)

My question is... Is is possible for my 5 1/2 month old incession to get infected?

If so, how can I treat it at home? (I don't have insurance anymore, and really don't want to go to the doctor, it would majorly cut into my budget!)

Thanks in advance!!! :)

C-Section 5 and half months ago. If the white stuff has a foul odour then yes its infected...if you dont have any discharge from your vagina then the possibility that the uterus is infected is very minimal...but if u have the same white stuff coming through your vagina as well....SEE YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY....

...so let us assume that you have what is called a stitch abcess...this is when the stitch that they used on a layer beneath your skin peeps put and pricks your skin...the layer is called the rectus sheath...so they might have used a non-absorbable stitch..like nylon...seeing that they were going to cut in the same place and inorder to prevent it from opening (what they call a burst abdomen) they used a stitch with a stringer tensile strength like nylon....so the stitch has formed a small collection of pus just beneath the skin....

..u will need some surgical spirit..or some alcohol.....to first squeeze the white stuff out....do this about every 2 hrs.....squeeze the white stuff out...then clean/ wipe the area with the spirit/ alcohol...then bandage the area with some guaze (this whole process really hurts so take your time...use warm water while squeezing the white stuff out..)

....before dressing the where the redness is or where the white stuff is coming from.....after the squeezing..apply some honey to the area...honey is bacteriacidal....will kill the bacteria by dehydrating them because of its very concetrated....try this every 2 hrs for about 3- 5days and u might get well.

I would, though, strongly RECOMMEND that u see your doctor...before u try out any of the things I have suggested

    go to the doctor!

you can set up a payment plan with them and pay very little each month, as long as you pay something they will be happy, like even $10 a month.
