The Genealogy Computer Group meets every month, July and August
excepted, on the second Saturday, at the Calgary Family History
Center, 17th Ave and 19a Street S.W.
A beginner's session was started in 1999/2000,
and meets at the above location and date from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Program
details, where formalized, will appear in our online
calendar. Note that our programming process is a very flexible one
- and as a result, we'll do our best to provide you with a longer
view as to our program plans, but only the current (and historic)
month's program titls are firm.
The main session will meet from 10:30-12:00 p.m.
Interested in the roots of
our Computer SIG?
We generally are 50 or more folks who meet for a short administrative
meeting followed by an hour-long presentation. For over a decde,
we put on a "trade show" that focuses on computer uses
for genealogy and is called GENSOFT; now it's merged with the AFHS
fall conference known as FamilyRoots.
See also our webpage devoted to software
download and review sites.
Program details can be found on our online calendar,
and Talk summaries are also
available.
We also have a Mailing List for the Computer Group
Contact
for more information about the Computer SIG.
