Emigration rush

1733779-1451685-thumbnail.jpg A House of Lords committee will report next week that it is not the case that, as the Government claims, ten years’ worth of record levels of immigration has added £6billion per annum to the wealth of this country. In fact, the UK has seen virtually no economic benefits from the newcomers to these shores!

Shocking stuff.

Meanwhile, the exodus continues, aided and abetted by none other than the eminent Daily Telegraph which is already trailing a live webchat it will be hosting on Monday 31st March at 1.0pm UK time “Emigration: money matters” – all about how to best protect your money when emigrating.

Start your new life with as much money as possible! Help is at hand as Andrew Nelson, Migration Team Specialist from foreign currency specialists HiFX, Simon Neville from Prism Xpat, independent pension and finance specialists for both Australia and New Zealand, and John Hicks, property expert with Approved Properties Abroad will be joining us at 1pm on Monday 31st March for a live webchat.

So whether you want to know how to protect your assets from fluctuating exchange rates, what to do about your pension, how to set up bank accounts or credit cards before you go or just tips on saving money, Andrew, Simon and John will be on hand to answer your questions.  Send in your questions for them now - and be sure to join us again when we go live!

I ask the question again?  What is this Government thinking?

The brain drain is turning into a veritable flood!

Hello Mrs. Blighty!.

Lovely to read your comments in the DT, but to answer your question re what is the government thinking: They aren’t. They never seem to think of much when it comes to what’s good for the country, only the bits that concern keeping them endlessly in power. Mr. B & Co have brought their fight for survival of power almost to an art form, and between Labour and Ken Livingston’s little plan to do the same, it’s akin to watching a bride being jilted at the alter, in other words, painful.

The shenanigans of this Labour Government toward immigration is mind boggling and now that the failure of same has been disclosed by a committee of the House of Lords, my guess is that somehow or other that Ragin’ Cajun of a Scotsman, Mr. B, will come up with the goods to explain it all away to the public. It matters not that he and Mr. Blair have together wrecked the country by almost force feeding immigrants upon an unsuspecting people at the beginning of this monstrous charade. Their claim that these immigrants were required to contribute to future pensions, do work that the average English man or woman would not do and a myriad of other fairy tales have now been proved to be just that, a fairy tale, yet it is the 11th hour in the sinking of a country into obscurity and this man Brown has not an iota of an idea what he ought to be doing to make things better. I would stake my life on it that even in his wildest dreams, (dose he dream do you think?) he would never make the decision to force people off welfare and back to work, never would he consider making life a little easier for pensioners who after all contributed their taxes for all those years and are now in the unenviable position of buying day old food to keep body and soul together, and never but never would he tell young pregnant women that they must find their own solution to accommodation and bringing up their child(ren) under their own steam. No, much better for him to allow uneducated immigrants to flood the country and take every freebie on tap rather than do any of the above. It somehow escapes him that people like you and your family, and indeed my brother and his family after selling his Engineering Company and laying people off, are leaving in droves for greener pastures as a direct result of his policies.

I despair at what will happen to the UK in 5-10 years time when the dust has settled. What a disastrous and disgraceful end to a once shining example of how to do things right, only to see everything go pear shaped all because of this idiotic and power hungry man: Mr. Brown from Scotland.

Best wishes to you and yours on your upcoming move, and I hope for a better life for all involved in this great adventure. Great luck to you.

Maura Collins.
