Overheard at Nat West bank

Nat%20West.pngAt my local branch of Nat West bank today, paying the usual raft of exorbitant bills for water, telephone and electricity, I happened to overhear the conversation at the next counter.  A smartly-dressed gentleman was asking for his entire account to be closed.

"Why?" asked the woman behind the glass partition.  "I'm leaving the country....emigrating", he replied.

I trust I will be issuing the exact same instructions in a few months' time.   The brain drain from Blighty continues apace!

If you think British electricity and gas bills are expensive you've got a shock when you get to the States.
