Introducing BikeSafe-London

The best modification you can make to your bike is to improve the skills of its rider. Powered two wheelers are often sold on their performance and styling but having a top class machine with top class performance does not automatically make you a top class rider. BikeSafe-London offers a proven formula to help you improve your riding and get more out of your machine.

What is BikeSafe-London?

In London, powered two wheeler riders represent a disproportionately large number of casualties - while representing under 3% of road traffic they account for nearly 22% of deaths and serious injuries. In recent years the City of London Police have successfully operated a BikeSafe scheme and the BikeSafe-London partnership builds on that success.

What's involved?

Powered two wheel riders are invited to attend Skills days. These days combine observed rides, led by serving police officers on marked police motorcycles, with presentations looking at the system of motorcycle control, filtering and the most common causes of motorcycle collisions in London. Whether you ride a scooter or a powerful sports machine, you will get useful advice and information on how to improve your riding skills.

How to book your session

To book a place on one of the upcoming sessions, or to find out additional information visit our website at http://www.bikesafe-london.co.uk/ or call 01689 856971.

Help us to help you reduce powered two wheeler casualties by becoming a better rider.
