Once I have the telephone numbers for the two nearest operators should I always use these?
The private hire operator telephone numbers sent to your mobile phone will be for two licensed minicab firms that serve the area where you at that exact time. However, because we are constantly monitoring operator's performances, there is no guarantee that these operators will always be licensed and so it advisable to regularly check the licence status of any operator whose number you store in your mobile phone. You can check the licensed status on this website.
