It was created an Urban_district in 1899 by the London_Government_Act_1899. In 1965 it was abolished by the London_Government_Act_1963 and its former area transferred to Greater_London from Kent. Its former area was combined with that of other districts to form the present-day London_Borough_of_Bromley. ==References== *London Government Act 1899 *London Government Act 1963 ==External links== *A Vision of Britain - Penge UD {{london-geo-stub}} {{LGA1963}} Penge Category:History_of_London Category:Bromley
