'''Penge''' was a local government district in north west Kent from 1899 to 1965 around the town of Penge.
It was created an Urban_district in 1899 by the London_Government_Act_1899.
In 1965 it was abolished by the London_Government_Act_1963 and its former area transferred to Greater_London from Kent. Its former area was combined with that of other districts to form the present-day London_Borough_of_Bromley.
