Southern Alberta Pioneers

In 1993, the Southern Alberta Pioneers and Their Descendants (SAPD) published a thick, coil-bound book entitled Pioneer Families of Southern Alberta. The majority of this work was brief biographies of persons who were living in Southern Alberta by 1890.

The transformation of the book materials into an Internet-accessible format has been made possible by a fine collaboration with volunteers from the AFHS and the SAPD. Thanks are owed to Eva Kinnear and Judith Rempel at the AFHS and to Jim Mackie and the rest of the Historical Committee of SAPD for making this material available.
