What Needs to be Done to Save the
Census
In
simple terms, those of us who oppose the actions of Statistics Canada
and the Privacy Commissioner concerning the release of census information
to the public must now do one of two things (or both).
- convincingly demonstrate that the interpretation which Statistics
Canada are putting on the various census acts from 1906 onwards
is incorrect.
- arrange to have the census act modified in such a way as to
permit the continuing release of nominal census data to the public.
