The library is open frequently every month except July/August. See AFHS Calendar for details. During the summer months, access can be arranged on an appointment basis. The library contains about 10,000 documents, including family history journals/newsletters, family histories, books, reference books, maps, and microfiche. See below for links to information about our non-periodical collection organized according to subject matter. The collection is broad, but does have an emphasis on materials pertaining to Alberta, the United Kingdom, and the rest of Canada.
