There has to be some explanation for this... I work in lounges in both midtown and the meatpacking district 4 nights a week, and 75% of the clientèle are passport toting European tourists. Aside from the obvious gripes we hear from the bartenders about people not tipping and whatnot, there is NO cohesion in any of the venues, because no one can successfully DJ for the United Nations. Everyone wants something different. Is there a reason out city has been invaded by such blatant swarms of tourists over the last few months?

there are more than many places to read about the 4000 dead soldiers in Iraq. Stop trying to guilt Gothamist into writing about it.

Still nothing about the 4,000 dead service men and women in Iraq....horrible....

Is anyone going to report on the bizarre death of David Wain?

Why no posts on the fact that there have now been 4,000 U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq?!?!?

I've been hearing an intermittent loud noise for about twenty minutes from 7th&44th. It sounds like boulders being dropped into an eighteen wheeler. Is a building being demolished? Are more cranes falling over?

2nd show of what? You make no sense.

After the 2nd show my wife and I decided it was time to move to anywhere other than NY.
How appalling.

It was really odd today walking through Williamsburg and Greenpoint - in one neighborhood the Hasidum are celebrating quite a loud and jovial holiday with kids dressed in costumes etc - quite fun to see being that they are so conservative usually - and in the other neighborhood the Roman Catholics are celebrating Good Friday by having the Stages of The Cross.
I love NYC and it's many facets of life.

I don't know exactly what's happening over at your neighbor, Gawker, but two new commenter features appeared this morning unannounced and around 1pm this afternoon the entire Gawker empire crashed. Deadspin, Jezebel, Consumerist, Gizmodo, Gawker and I assume the others return 'Http/1.1 Service Unavailable'.
The first new feature was the added ability for commenters to create their own posts. This created quite a stir - the online equivalent of inmates taking over the prison. The second feature, which didn't appear to work, was the ability to email comments to Gawker for inclusion within a post. I wonder if this second feature opened Gawker up to a denial of service attack?
Do you know anything?
Regards,
Ron

Actually when talking about using Bleach in the battle against Mosquitos, Bleach is actually quite harmful. Bleach contains Chlorine -Element #17. When bound with Sodium Chlorine, it forms Sodium Chloride. In nature, it's found largely in Seawater and rarely exists on it's own. When isolated and it's freed from it's chemical bonds, it becomes a toxic gas. There is actually a movement trying to ban it due to the causes of health problems. Chlorine is found in DDT, PCB's, CFC, Agent Orange, and Dioxin. An alternative is a non-chlorine oxygen bleach, or Borax.

Yes, I know 2 gb + 1 gb = 3 gb, but Apple does not offer a 3gb configuration and the sales card only lists prices for the 2 and 4 gb models. The question is why the odd configuration?
