Western Digital employs more than 44,000 people worldwide and is headquartered in Lake Forest (Orange County), California.  We have manufacturing facilities in California, Malaysia and Thailand; design facilities in southern (Lake Forest) and northern (San Jose, Fremont) California and Thailand; and sales offices are maintained throughout the world.

Internship Program

Are you ready to Test Drive Your Career?  At Western Digital we’re looking for students that want a daily challenge, long-term impact, and a creative environment.  You’ll learn from people who have been in the industry over 30 years, so you can steer headfirst into engaging and meaningful projects.  It’s about propelling your career as far as you want it to go, in any direction, you choose.

Western Digital’s Internship program is a paid internship, with some interns being converted to full-time employment upon graduation. The University Relations (UR) department works directly with business group hiring managers by providing formalized on-boarding, training, and enrichment events throughout the internship to familiarize the students to the culture at WD, while providing them with the skills needed to be successful.
