As a favor to the fine folks at the Darwin Day Program. Barry Karr CSICOP Barry - can you send this out to your list. It's essential he wins! Darwin Day Program: http://www.darwinday.org Charles Darwin - The Greatest Briton of All Time ==================================================================== http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/programmes/greatbritons/ Cast Your Vote Now! On Sunday 24 November, 9pm (GMT) on BBC TWO there will be a live debate hosted by Anne Robinson, Peter Snow and the ten 'Great Britons' presenters. Voting will continue until the end of the show - then the overall winner will be announced. Who will be voted as the Greatest Briton of all time? Charles Darwin currently holds fourth place among the top ten finalists. We at the Darwin Day Program think he deserves better. Ahead of him are Isambard Kingdom Brunel - an engineer, Princess Diana - a royal celebrity, and Winston Churchill - a great war leader. Who among these people transformed human thought? Hmmmm? CHARLES DARWIN. Even if you have voted earlier during the top 100, you can vote again. Please do so while there is still time. On a related note, November 24th - the date the results of this BBC vote will be announced - is also the anniversary date of the original publication of _The Origin of Species_ in 1859. At the BBC link you will also find e-cards and many interesting resources that are connected with this programme. http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/programmes/greatbritons/
