PARIS (AP) - French defense electronics and security group Thales SA said Friday that 2007 net profit more than doubled after the company made one-time gains. The company also confirmed its forecast for 2008.
Net income rose to ¤887 million (US$1.4 billion) from ¤388 million in 2006, the company said in a statement. Revenue rose
20 percent to ¤12.3 billion (US$18.8 billion).
Paris-based Thales also boosted its dividend by 15 percent to ¤1.00 a share.
The company forecast steady organic sales growth in 2008 of about 6, compared with 6.4 percent a year earlier.
Thales said 2008 operating income will represent about 8 percent of revenue. In 2007, adjusted operating income was 7.6 percent, up from 7.3 percent the previous year.
