ShogoMAD is now on a brand new, much improved and faster server! This is our pledge to continue to provide the best service possible to you, the fans who support and make this the great community it is.
Unfortuntely, less than a day before the site was scheduled for transfer, many data files were damaged beyond repair, and forced us to replace them with an older backup. As a result, the forums have been reverted to the state it was in December. We apologize for any inconvenience this has created, and are taking measures to prevent this from occuring in the future.
I would like to thank you for your patience during our unexpected downtime and transition to our new home :)

Wednesday night proved to be golden for Team DFA, as they took the win for the 3vs3 TDM Championship against a shorthanded Team GOA by a final score of 119-26. Team DFA remained undefeated throughout the tournament with a record of 4-0. Team GOA ended the Tournament with a respectable record of 4-2.
High quality screenshots of the match will be posted tonight for download.
I would like to thank everyone who participated and made time to play in the tournament, and with luck maybe we can pull off a similar tournament in the near future. I am open to ideas of how to make the next tournament better, so if you have any constructive feedback please feel free to start a thread in the forums or drop me an email.

Apocalypse: His extensive modifications to the Anti-Cheat / MatchMod made matches much easier to run, and kept the playing field fair. Without his help this tournament would never have run so smoothly.

Tomorrow night could possibly decide the champion in the ShogoMAD 3vs3 Double Elimination TDM Tournament, between undefeated Team DFA (Apocalypse, Shiv, Lana), and Team GOA ([Evo], People in the way back..., AHmongrican Bastid) who are fresh from a stellar 104-82 win last week against the DFA Bench Warmers.
If Team GOA wins, a 2nd match will be forced to decide the champion. (No elimination will occur until a team has 2 losses).
Maps played tomorrow night will be 2 fast and furious on foot maps OF_Reactor & OF_Underground, and 1 mca map MCA_Spires. The team with the best adaptation, strategy, and teamwork will undoubtedly come out ahead on these maps.
Join us on IRC tomorrow night for all the tournament festivities at irc.gamesurge.net in channel #shogomad. Championship match beings promptly at 11pm.

My sincerest apologies for the delay in getting Round 5 underway after the scheduling fiasco that occurred. Team GOA will be taking on the DFA Bench Warmers. This weeks winner goes on to play in the Championship match versus Team DFA who remains undefeated!

The 3vs3 TDM Tournament is officially underway!
Registered teams will need to head over to the Tournament Scheduling Forum and post their availability and decide a day/time with your Round 1 opponents. Once a day/time has been decided a ShogoMAD Referee will confirm it and schedule the server for you.

It appears that our beloved Monolith Productions team has been purchased by none other than media giant Time Warner. This should bring good tidings to the game developer who has for so long bounced from producer to producer over the years.
Though the financial terms of their deal were not disclosed, Warner Bros. and Monolith did say the studio would become part of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the games arm of global media titan Time Warner. Currently, there are no plans to relocate the developer's Kirkland, Washington, headquarters.

Hey everybody, got some great news this past week. There are 2 brand spanking new servers for Shogoland!
The first is at IP 66.36.236.13 and is being run by ABS Gaming and was setup by Skid_ODT
The second is at IP 198.92.120.100 and is being run by Apocalypse_DFA
Thanks to both of them for breathing some more life into Shogo!

The new Client Side Anticheat v3.42 is available for download!
It isn't required, but it does fix the "previous weapon" select so it will no longer get stuck on the knife. It also fixes the redundant logging issue.

As promised, the new client and server version of the anti cheat is now available for download. Another noted issue has been fixed as well:
- Server Anti-Cheat no longer ignores Client's version. Clients MUST be running v3.1 of the client package to connect and play.

A couple of issues have been addressed, many thanks go to Apocalypse_DFA for yet another stellar Shogo update :)
Changes/Updates to Player stat reporting:
- Stats no longer report when playing on servers running MOD's. Bloodbath in particular was a culprit for this.
- Clients will now have the ability to turn player stat reporting on/off simply by changing the "SEND_STATS,1" line in /shogo/client.ini file to "SEND_STATS,0".
We're currently just waitin on the new files to come through, which could be at any minute so be sure to check back frequently for the download :)
