(CNN) -- After flooding washed out parts of Kansas over the weekend, I-Reporters sent photos and video to capture the destruction. People were still awaiting their chance to head back to their homes as river levels continued to rise.

By Monday, July 2, some homes were badly damaged and the eastern Kansas town of Osawatomie was forced to evacuate 40 percent of its 4,600 residents, according to The Associated Press.

Although the rain had stopped, river levels showed no sign of dropping and flash flood watches were in place. E-mail to a friend E-mail to a friend
