Develops sales strategy and forecasts sales volumes for the assigned market. Reports to Vice President of Sales. Domestic or international travel may be required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops sales strategies, and forecasts sales volume and mix for the assigned accounts. Scope of account(s) and/or geographic coverage is WW in nature and/or scope of responsibility is significant to overall Western Digital TAM Responsible for managing and generating all sales activities for assigned area of coverage/account base Participates with other U.S. senior management in the overall planning, designing and implementing of regional sales strategy and business plans Compiles and manages relevant sales budgets, profit margins and growth plans to maintain/increase market share Conducts research, provides plans and proposals for further successful penetration into the assigned region Responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities within assigned areas/account set within areas of responsibility Responsible for attaining sales objectives for the assigned region and assigned accounts on a WW basis Product planning input and market intelligence to enable/identify new opportunities for potential future WD markets or products Discusses, supports and organizes all necessary actions for technical design-in of Western Digital’s products Presents and negotiates contracts at senior levels Builds and develops high level customer contacts/relationships to ensure long term partnerships, increase sales and maintain a competitive position, yielding the highest possible returns on sales Responsible for sales goals and supervision of team members Has dotted line responsibilities for the functional groups supporting the sales activities within assigned region or WW account set
Provides leadership to staff in the development of individual sales objectives, sales plans and sales strategies and reviews on a quarterly basis to evaluate performance to goals
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent MBA desirable 10 or more years experience in sales or marketing management functions, including experience in:
