GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP
WD Charitable Giving and Community Involvement

Several years ago, WD established the Western Digital Charitable Foundation, a non-profit public benefit corporation whose express purpose is to improve the quality of life of our employees, their families and our communities. The Foundation is comprised of employees and members of management who evaluate requests for funding and determine how the Foundation will allocate its resources. The Foundation supports established and successful organizations in our communities as well as new programs that may prove to be models for effective ways of delivering needed services. The Foundation focuses primarily on the following areas:

Health and Human Services – programs providing services to senior citizens, minorities, disadvantaged youths or physically or mentally challenged individuals.

Education – programs that promote computer literacy, the sciences and innovations in engineering, finance and business administration.

Civic, Community and the Environment – programs that promote the long-term betterment and permanent improvement of communities and residents.

The Foundation also encourages and organizes volunteer activities in which our employees participate.

For more information on the WD Foundation, or if you are a charitable organization who would like to apply for funding, please click here.
